“Implementation of Environmental Economics Concept and Principle in Regional Development Planning” by Dr. Ir. Iwan Kustiwan, M.T.

I attended a webinar organized by Ecoedu @ecoedu.id about “Implementation of Environmental Economics Concept and Principle in Regional Development Planning”. The speaker of the webinar was Mr. Dr. Ir. Iwan Kustiwan, M.T. @iwank63 a Senior Lecturer at SAPPK ITB @itb1920 @sappk.itb

I think Environmental Economics and Green Economy are crucial fundamentals in our development planning and we must implement them not just in our development documents but also in the real field’s implementation. So, the gap result between planning documents and Implementation will be decreased. I hope we can achieve it!

Thank you Mr. Dr. Iwan Kustiwan for the materials, it reminds me for the materials in Participatory Regional Planning Course in Master of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University that lectured by Mr. Dr. Eka Purna Yudha @eka_yudha81 and Mrs. Prof. Tuti Karyani @tuti.karyani

Lessons from “Rich Dad Poor Dad” Book by Robert Kiyosaki

Currently, I am on my reading on a famous book by Robert Kiyosaki @therealkiyosaki entitled “Rich Dad Poor Dad”. I think I got such important messages and learning.

I am impressed by the story and learning from the rich dad a.k.a. Mike’s Dad in Chapter 2 about a fact that the rich don’t work for money but money works for them. How the rich dad gave the lesson to 9-years-old Robert with just paid him 10 cent per hour for working at Mike’s Dad Store, then Robert complained and protested about it, blamed Mike’s Dad for the little paycheck, which illustrate the same phenomenon of the common adults who work for money and do complaining to their boss and company for the low salary, but not to blaming themselves that cannot make money works for them. Such a good example and illustration for the
fact in our lives.

Last Saturday, on 19th April 2025, I attended a webinar organized by @kamisenitani and Paguyuban Pangan, that discussed about “Why Should We Choose Local Food System?” Besides Teh Vania @vaniavanya from Seni Tani that talked about Seni Tani’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) implementation, the other speaker was my supervisor in my master degree and my lecturer at SITH ITB @sithitb Mr. Angga Dwiartama, Ph.D. @dwiartamaangga

He explained that implementation of local food system was not just to achieve food security, but to achieve social relation and bonding, resilience, and prosperity through healthy food system.

The local food system was implementing the moral economy that had important roles in local society. He told that lot of examples for implementation of local food system around the world including Indonesia, such as Farmer’s Market, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), Community Garden and City Gardening, and other local market communities that was still implementing local customs and local wisdoms.

We also should do shifting from just a food consumers to a food citizen that had a collective movement to rebuild the meaning of “local” in local food system.

So let’s improve our local food system in our regions, because it’s not just for achieving food security but for the prosperity and sustainability in broaden perspective!

Kudos to Paguyuban Pangan, I hope I could join in the next events!

Launch Your Moonshot Goal! – Tony Robbins

Dzikra,

Have you ever wondered what might be possible if you dared to dream impossibly big?

Most people set goals that feel achievable. But what if that’s the very thing holding you back?

When Tony Robbins set out to provide 1B meals to those in need, people thought it was impossible.

He reached that goal two years ahead of schedule. His current mission is to feed 100B people around the world.

The difference between ordinary results and extraordinary achievement isn’t hard work or luck.

🌟 It’s having the courage to set goals that scare you in the first place.

As Tony says, “If your goals don’t scare you, you’re not dreaming big enough.”

In fact, thinking 10X bigger could completely transform your career, business, relationships and much more!

🔭 The Power of Moonshot Goals: Why Playing Small Is Risky

We’re conditioned to set “realistic” goals to prevent disappointment.

However, playing small is the biggest risk you can take.

When you set ordinary goals:

  • You attract ordinary opportunities
  • You tap into ordinary levels of inspiration
  • You create ordinary results that lead to ordinary days

💥 What if instead, you set goals that seem almost impossible?

Tony’s dear friend Peter H. Diamandis calls this a moonshot goalsomething massive, world-changing, and a little bit crazy.

Imagine:

  • Buying your dream home in a location you thought was out of reach
  • Retiring your partner and funding the pursuit of their true passion
  • Retiring yourself a decade (or two!) earlier than you planned
  • Traveling the world without worrying about the budget
  • Buying a house for a loved one, outright
  • Making a six or seven-figure contribution to your favorite charity

These aren’t just dreams. They’re moonshot
goals people achieve every year—not because they’re special, but because
they dared to think bigger.

🧠 The Mindset Shift: From “How?” to “Must!”

The biggest obstacle to moonshot goals isn’t your ability. It’s what Tony calls “the tyranny of how.”

Most people ask, “How can I possibly do this?” before they’ve fully committed to “Why must I do this?”

👉 When you focus on the “how” too early:

  • Your brain finds the reasons it couldn’t work
  • You generate uncertainty instead of conviction
  • You talk yourself out of even trying

💡 But when you focus on your “why”:

  • You create unshakeable certainty
  • Your brain finds solutions instead of problems
  • You attract the resources and people you need

As Tony says, “Reasons come first; answers come second.”

⚡ The 3-Step Formula for Achieving the “Impossible”

To turn your moonshot goals into reality, follow Tony’s proven approach.

1️⃣ Transform your SHOULDS into MUSTS

When something becomes a must, failure is no longer an option. Your brain will find a way.

2️⃣ Ignore the “tyranny of how”

Don’t worry about how you’ll achieve your goal. Focus on making your why so powerful that the how becomes inevitable.

3️⃣ Create unstoppable momentum

Success breeds success. Each small achievement builds certainty, which leads to bigger actions and better results.

Remember: Moonshot goals aren’t achieved by individuals alone.

They require teams, support, and collaboration. But it starts with YOUR decision to dream bigger!

🚀 Challenge: Set a Moonshot Goal

📩 Take these three steps to set your big, scary goal.

  • Dream: Write down one goal that scares you (but excites you).
  • Commit: Make it a MUST by attaching a deep, emotional reason.
  • Move: Take the first step—even if you don’t know the whole path.

When you commit to a moonshot goal, you’re not just changing what you’ll achieve, but who you’ll become in the process.

P.S. Don’t forget: If you can’t, you must. If you must, you can. Set your moonshot goals and enjoy the journey!

Tony Robbins | Crisis or Breakthrough? The Choice That Changes Everything

“The difference between those who rise and those who stay stuck is not the absence of obstacles—but the speed at which they move from resistance to creation.”
– Tony Robbins

One moment, you’re standing strong—confident, certain, unstoppable. The next, the ground gives way. The plan shatters. The path ahead disappears.

Life doesn’t ask permission to change.

It tilts, it twists, it throws you off course. And when it does, you have two choices: resist and stay stuck—or pivot and create something greater than you ever imagined.

Moments like these can feel like endings. A sudden loss, a dream deferred, a door slammed shut. But what if the ending is just the threshold of something greater?

I faced this reckoning in 2020. For over four decades, my mission had been forged in the fire of in-person events—stadiums pulsing with energy, thousands of people igniting their breakthroughs together.

But seemingly overnight, the doors closed. The pandemic hit. The world stood still. And for the first time in my career, I had to ask myself: What now?

What I didn’t know then was that I was moving through the six stages of transformation (also known as the six stages of grief)—an evolution we all must navigate when life hands us the unexpected. If you’ve ever felt stuck amid change, you may have found yourself navigating these stages too:

1️⃣ Shock & Denial – “This isn’t happening.”

The first stage is disbelief. We grasp at what was, convinced that if we wait long enough, life will return to normal. But normal is an illusion—life is always in motion. At first, I refused to accept that our in-person events, one of which was just days away, were being canceled.

2️⃣ Anger – “This isn’t fair.”

When reality sets in, frustration follows. We look for someone to blame—circumstances, leaders, the world itself. But anger left unchecked is a fire that consumes rather than creates. To move forward, it must be transmuted into action.

3️⃣ Bargaining – “Maybe if I just hold on a little longer…”

Here, we negotiate with the past. We tell ourselves if we just push through, we won’t have to change.  But life doesn’t move backward. Growth demands we step into the unknown.

4️⃣ Depression – “What if this is the end?”

This is the darkest moment. The grief of letting go. The fear that the best is behind us. I won’t lie—there was a moment I wondered if the magic of my work would ever be the same. But depression is often a signal that we’re looking in the wrong direction—backward instead of forward. The way out is through a new vision.

5️⃣ Acceptance – “This is real. So what will I do with it?”

Here, the shift begins. Acceptance is not surrender—it is the recognition that while we cannot control what happens, we can always control what we do next. I stopped resisting and started asking: How can I serve in a new way?

6️⃣ Creation & Breakthrough – “This is not the end—it’s the beginning.”

Some people stop at acceptance. But I believe there is a sixth and final step that is the most important. And this is where the alchemy happens. The place where loss transforms into possibility. Instead of trying to rebuild what was, I chose to create what had never been done before.

🔥 We launched the first-ever virtual Unleash the Power Within.

🔥 We reached over 30,000 households in a single weekend—more than I could ever fit in an arena.

🔥 We didn’t just return to the mission—we expanded it beyond anything I’d ever imagined.

What once seemed like an ending was a gateway to impact—at a scale I never thought possible.

So I ask you now: Where in your life are you holding on to what was, instead of stepping into what could be?

If you’re in the middle of a storm, know this: the breakdown always precedes the breakthrough.

It’s not your fault if you get knocked to your knees, but it is your fault if you don’t get off your knees and find a way to push through.

The difference between those who rise and those who stay stuck is not the absence of obstacles—but the speed at which they move from resistance to creation.

Whatever challenge you’re facing right now, ask yourself:

What if this isn’t happening TO me, but FOR me? What if this very moment is the key to unlocking the life I was meant to live? What can I create that never would have been possible before?

Your next level is waiting. But you must choose to step into it.

What’s one area of your life where you can turn crisis into your greatest breakthrough? Drop a comment and let me know.

To your breakthrough,

Tony Robbins

The Secret to Real Leadership – Tony Robbins’s Newsletter “The Edge”

“Anyone can be a leader. It’s about answering the call.” – Tony Robbins @tonyrobbins

I want to share a Tony Robbins’s newsletter “The Edge” that expain about Leaders and Leadership. Here is it. Enjoy!

Here’s the truth Dzikra: Leadership has nothing to do with your title—and everything to do with your influence.

I’ve worked with presidents, CEOs, and the world’s most powerful decision-makers. You know what separates the leaders who drive real change from those who just hold a position?

They execute

It’s not the smartest person in the room who wins—it’s the one who takes massive action. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Execution? That’s where the real power is.

But here’s the best part: You don’t need a title to be a leader.

Leadership starts with you—your mindset, your emotions, your ability to follow through. If you can influence yourself to think bigger, to show up every day, and to push beyond your own limits—you can influence anyone.

And that’s when everything changes.

I wasn’t born into power. I didn’t have a fancy degree or some high-ranking position handed to me. I have a high school education. But what I did have was hunger. And a desire to serve.

I became obsessed with understanding human behavior—why some people succeed while others settle. I sought out the best of the best, studied their strategies, and applied them relentlessly.

And that’s how I built a life of impact—by focusing on influence over position and doing what others wouldn’t.

If you want to lead—really lead—here’s where to start.

Lead yourself first – The strongest leaders take command of their inner world. Master your mind, your emotions, and your habits—because if you can’t lead yourself, how can you lead others?

Execution beats intelligence – Knowledge isn’t power; it’s potential power. Execution beats knowledge any day of the week. It’s not what you know—it’s what you do that counts. Stop waiting for the perfect moment. Take massive action now and course-correct along the way.

Model the best – Success leaves clues. Whatever you want—better health, stronger relationships, financial freedom—someone has already figured it out. Find those people. Study their strategies. And take action.

So, here’s my challenge to you:

Decide right now to be the leader of your own life. Decide to raise your standards. Take one action today that moves you closer to the life you want. Whether it’s making that tough decision, having that honest conversation, or committing to a new habit—do it today.

Because real leadership doesn’t wait. It doesn’t need permission.

The time to lead is now. Will you step up?

To your success and leadership,

Tony Robbins

Hyper-Personalization for MSME’s Businesses – Exabytes Digital Day – 20th March 2025

Last week I attended Exabytes Digital Day with topic about hyper-personalization for MSME’s Businesses.

To make MSMEs could compete with big entreprises, we could give services that implement hyper-personalization based on our customer’s data and history. We could give offering by WhatsApp or Email using hyper-personalization based on the customer’s purchasing data so it would give a personal and more relatable offering for the customer if we compare to what big entreprises did with mass and general offerings and advertisements.

I am also curious about how small websites could implement hyper-personalization on their websites based on the behavior and history from the customers, and the speaker said it’s very possible to implement with cookies implementation even for websites which are using WordPress as CMS. It’s such an insight!

Thanks Exabytes Indonesia @exabytes_id and CreativeQode @creativeqode_id for the event! I hope I could join the next event with other interesting topics ☺️☺️
