what your life is driven by?

Engines need electricity, fuel, solar cells, or even nuclear to keep operating. So do humans, unless it is more familiar in terms like fear, passion, money, excitement, or love. Some worked really hard out of fear of being financially incapable. Some struggling to not let their beloved ones being down. Some are content doing what they want and like, regardless of economical and political conditions. In every way, they feel, they fall, they fear, they went far.

How do we know what drives us the best?

Despite every human having a whole different life one and another, I think of two things that drive human’s life the best, namely love and fear. Any kind of love, is indeed, blinding, no further explanation needed, as we saw it in everyday life. You saw your friend crushing hard on someone and suddenly they did the most silly thing they ever did (you sighed, because why would they do that? It’s not like they’re going to be spend their life with their so-called sweetheart anyway). You saw a fangirl spare her money more for her muse than for herself. You saw an artist passionately creating an art that seems more beautiful than life itself (Life imitates art far more than art imitates life -Oscar Wilde). You saw love. You were born from love.

Still and all, not everyone is lucky enough to be driven by love in their life. Instead, they live by fear haunting them in every step they take, in every fate they had faith for. This is what keep them going because they are running from fear. Fear of not being good enough, of being incapable, of being left behind, of the unknown future, of what ifs. They don’t want fear becoming part of their life, so they run. Searching for any place and shelter and home that can keep them safe, sane, and secure from fear’s cruelty.

They run until only God knows when. When they’ve done running, I sincerely wish their life is driven by love.

(Yes, being in fear is the most terrible thing I had in life. I hate it I pray to God to take my fear away. When the time comes, it is me being feared and fearless facing the world)
